My CD Reviews

It seems to me that most CD uses have different favourites. I am still new to this but have tried these diapers. Here are my reviews:

  • Motherease one-size: I like this nappy for being so simple and soft. It does the job and seems to actually be a onesize.. It dries quicker than my other diapers when put in the dryer - only except the Ellas House prints - those dry rather fast too ... Shame it only comes in three colors (natural, white and organic) - it would be cool if they had it in pink, mint, blue and yellow for instance :) If I could choose only one diaper to use all the time then it would be the motherease one-size. It is a great all-rounder. Needs boosting for nighttime or for trips - and I like to keep the snap-in booster snapped in all the time except when I know I will change it soon again. It doesn't go stiff or crunchy even in the very hard water we have and it has not leaked on us yet..

  • Diddy Diaper by Nature Babies: A very soft diaper. I have the size 2 that is supposed to fit most average sizes. My first impression was that I really like this diaper. It has a quality feel to it - it is soft yet stretchy at the sides and the terry feels luxurious. Unfortunately it does take quite some time to dry - even in the dryer. But it is a very reasonably prized diaper - at only around 6£s it is definately value for money. It is such a simple design it is almost silly - but it really has a great slim fit. It closes with a Nappi Nippa and that makes it easy to adjust to a perfect fit. This really is a great basic diaper with a slim fit.
  • Nature Babies also make a diaper called Dizzy Diaper. I just got two of those and I do NOT like them. Yes they do have advantages. They are made of very soft terry and they are very absorbant. But the fit is all wrong - or maybe they are just not for slim tall babies or toddlers? This is supposed to be a onesize but for one then the way to fold the front is almost impossible. You are supposed to snap it together -and then fold the front back to front again ?? It is a mess to put on because of this - especially on my baby girl. It is WAY too wide between they legs - especially for small children. When I have put it on my daughter it goes all the way around her legs and I can't fit it in the wrap. I have tried it on my son too - he is 28 months and a tall fella.. And it is not high enough - and the fit is no better than on my daughter. I would not recommend this diaper at all..

  • Tots Bots: I have two of these so far. Both size 2 - one with aplix and one without. To begin with I got the aplix-one. I didn't like it much. It seemed rougher than my other diapers and even though it was a size 2 - supposed to fit till around 40 lbs - it seemed too small even for my 15 lbs daughter. However this diaper has been growing on me big time. I am liking the terry feel more and more and I have realised that this diaper needs to be put on quite low both in front and back for a good fit. But once in place it is very absorbant and soft - and CUTE. I soon ordered one without the aplix to try that too - and I very much prefer that as the fit is even better than the aplix one. The non-aplix Tots that I have is a Rainbow Tots - and the rainbows are slightly thinner making it softer than the traditional Tots.  Next step will be to get me a Bamboozles ..
  • I also have a Tots Bots fleece wrap and like it. It fits my son very well and is nice and soft. BUT being fleece it needs to be washed after every single use.. Not good.. Also it is bright red and very cute - but since I started using it all my diapers and covers have gotten a slight pink discoloration  Stupid me for even buing a bright red thing to go in the diaperwash..

  • Ellas House Print Nappy: These diapers are very cute. They come in lots of different prints for both boys and girls. I am a bit torn about this diaper. I like the way it feels even when wet - the inside is nice and soft. But I think the sides where the elastic is sewn in are a bit stiff. It is a very thin diaper that soaks up well compared to its weight. I think I will boost them though. I have used them for my toddler too - and he definately needs them boosted since they simply cannot hold all the pee from a heavy wetting toddler. I have ordered more nappies from Ellas house - but not print-ones - except the ones they have on sale  - I made sure to get me some more of those nice bat-ones..
  • Ellas House Bumhugger: I just recieved a Bumhugger in my mail today. And already I simply love it. It is beautiful. The fabric is soft and the combination of polyester fleece on the inside and hemp-fleece on the outside seems a perfect fit. It is thick and my guess is much more absorbant than the printnappies. Also this nappy has built-in hempfleece in the soaker. That should do something good for absorbancy. I have not even washed it yet but am already on cloud 9 just touching it. I put it on my toddlers bum right away and am now awaiting a leak from a new and unwashed diaper.. Just had to put it on. Will get more of these when I can afford it..
  • BUMHUGGER UPDATE: Nope - this is no good - at least not for us. After a few washes it turned stiff and crunchy. The inside is fleece and still soft but the edges where the hemp and fleece meet have gotten all stiff and are definately not comfy. It has leaked every single time we have used it. I am not getting anymore anyway..
